  • THIS PAIR OF SOUTHWEST SPEED BLOCK HUGGER SHORTY HEADERS ARE GREAT FOR CLOSE OR TIGHT-FIT APPLICATIONS. THEY WILL WORK FOR INSTALLING SMALL BLOCK CHEVROLET ENGINES IN MANY DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS AND ARE GREAT FOR ENGINE SWAPS, WHERE A SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED HEADER IS NOT AVAILABLE. FEATURES 1 1/2" TUBES WITH 2 1/2" COLLECTORS, COMPLETE WITH HEADER BOLTS & GASKETS AND REDUCER BOLTS & GASKETS. THESE HEADERS ARE GROUND PARALLEL WITH .200" FLANGES ON THE CYLINDER HEAD SURFACE. INCLUDED IS A PAIR OF 2 1/2" TO 2" REDUCERS TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION. DESIGNED PRIMARILY FOR ENGINES WITH FRONT MOUNTS. IN MANY INSTANCES, THESE HEADERS WILL FIT AND FUNCTION PERFECTLY WITH SIDE MOUNTS AND UNDER ENGINE CROSS MEMBERS.

    • TIGHT FIT WILL REQUIRES SMALL SPARK PLUG WIRE BOOTS AND WONT ALLOW ALL SPARK PLUGS TO BE REMOVED WITH STANDARD SPARK PLUG SOCKETS, SOME SPARK PLUGS WILL
    • REQUIRE AN OFFSET BOX END WRENCH FOR SERVICE.
    • WE RECOMMEND ACCEL SHORTY SPARK PLUGS, IF YOU ARE USING LARGE SPARK PLUG WIRE BOOTS.
    • THE ACCEL SHORTY SPARK PLUGS MAKE THIS A MUCH NICER INSTALLATION AND ELIMINATE A LOT OF MINOR PROBLEMS.

    PAINT WARNING:

    THESE HEADERS ARE PAINTED WITH A HIGH-HEAT DULL BLACK PAINT. IT WILL GENERALLY DULL EVEN MORE WHEN THE ENGINE IS STARTED. THE HEADER PAINT WILL SMOKE AND LET OFF AN ODOR THE FIRST FEW TIMES THE ENGINE IS UP TO TEMPERATURE AND THE BLACK FINISH WILL BECOME DULLER, TURNING CLOSER TO GRAY IN COLOR. IF EXHAUST TEMPERATURES ARE EXTREME AT START, THE PAINT WILL BLISTER AND PEEL. THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON HEADER PAINT.

    HEADER RETURN POLICY:

    PLEASE REFER TO THE HEADER MEASUREMENT CHART BELOW TO MAKE SURE THE HEADER WILL FIT YOUR VEHICLE AND APPLICATION BEFORE ORDERING. IN THE EVENT YOU ORDER A HEADER THAT WILL NOT FIT YOUR VEHICLE AND APPLICATION, YOU MAY RETURN THEM FOR A REFUND, PROVIDING YOU DONT DAMAGE THE HEADER. WHEN YOU RECEIVE THE HEADER, THE FINISH WILL BE PROTECTED AND MUST REMAIN UNSCRATCHED FOR A REFUND. IF YOU BEND OR DIMPLE ANY OF THE TUBES OR SCRATCH THE FINISH, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SELL THE HEADER AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROCESS A REFUND. USE CARE WHEN TRIAL FITTING HEADERS. REPACK THEM WELL TO PREVENT DAMAGE RETURNING THEM TO US. WE WONT PROCESS REFUNDS FOR SCRATCHED, DIMPLED, DENTED, OR BENT HEADERS.
